Circa 1860, French cast brass and ormolu mounted inkwell. The rococo shaped stand has a scrolling foliate to the front, sides and back. At the back is a small winged cherub sitting on a scallop with his hand holding up some flowers. The 2 inkwells in the centre are in the form of stylish fluted and carved lidded urns with the tops well cast. Inside are 2 small glass containers for the ink and the main body with fluting finishing on a simple circular base.
