Circa 1870, Chippendale style inlaid and glazed bookcase. With horn top pediment and carved roses to each end, it has open fretwork beneath it and a central platform decorated with carved acanthus leaves. It has a Greek dentil style cornice in satinwood, kingwood and rosewood, and two glazed doors to the top section. Inside is lined in velour with two adjustable pine shelves with mahogany facings. The bottom section has Gothic arches to the glazing and is also lined in velour, all standing on squat bracket feet.
