Circa 1860, exhibition quality burr walnut tea caddy by Asprey, Bond Street, London. The top has slightly chamfered corners. The hinges of the lid have a small brass section on each side to prevent the lid from falling back completely. Inside there are two sections with burr walnut removable containers which are hinged. There is also a hand cut glass bowl which is in a circular aperture with a burr walnut bezel section outside it. There is a small plaque with the makers name and address. There is a Brahma lock on the outside and the original felt on the base.
