Circa 1870, carved oak armchair. With shaped top rail featuring central foliate carving and cartouche, leading on to an upholstered back and large stuffover seat. It has shaped arms with reeding to the front and upholstered pads for the elbows, held in place by two shaped uprights. The back legs are square and slightly outswept and the front legs are ring- turned, tapering and finished on a brass and porcelain castor.
