Circa 1800, set of 5 Scottish Hepplewhite style dining chairs made in laburnum wood. With raised top rail and open fretwork to the centre, and a drop-in pad seat. The sturdy back continues down to outswept back legs and the front legs have chamfering to the sides and cross-stretchers. There are peg dowels used in the frames across the set.
