Circa 1860, exhibition quality French ormolu mounted walnut armchair (fauteuil). With a label of “Jeansleme Pere et Fils” (worked 1853-1861). The fluted oval back with beaded ormolu decorations is surmounted by an elaborate ormolu ribbon bow. It has a shaped and moulded frame with part upholstered open arms, and a generous overstuffed seat over a shaped seat rail. This has further extensive foliate ormolu mounts and is all on ormolu decorated cabriole supports on brass castors.
