Circa 1890, Franco Japanese work table. The French made table has Japanese designs to the top inscribed and inlaid with ivory and mother of pearl of a scene with figures, and the hinged lid opens to reveal the cabinet section. Inside is a bevelled edge mirror held in place by ormolu brackets, and it retains its original French lock and key. With a flared apron with open fretwork and to the front back a cast brass mask of a dragon head, and dragon motif continuing down the legs and stretchers. Finishing on an unusual foot.
