Circa 1860, Biedermeier mahogany chest of four drawers. The first drawer is an elaborate serpentine shaped drawer with a canted top edge. Each of the drawers have an unusual gesso escutcheon and the drawer fronts have flame mahogany which matches from top to bottom. The beading between the drawers is a half round flame mahogany beading sitting proud of the chest. The whole piece stands on turned legs.
