Circa 1860, very stylish large sized Victorian mahogany octagonal pedestal. The white variegated marble top has chamfered edges, above a deep apron. The body is veneered in flame mahogany and three sections form a door with a knob handle. Inside is a single shelf in the centre. The whole piece stands on an enclosed plinth. Could be a bedside, lamp table or for sculpture. Unusual proportions.
