Circa 1860, unusual inlaid mahogany Biedermeier work box or table. The rectangular top in flame mahogany with tulipwood, boxwood and ebony inlay and boxwood edges, opens to a fitted interior with a series of compartments with brass handles. The figured mahogany frieze is above a sliding workbox (reupholstered in a quality patterned green material). All supported on shaped square supports with a shaped cross stretcher.
