Product Description

Circa 1850, pair of early Victorian mahogany library armchairs with a deep, shaped top rail. This kind of rail is a feature typical of Edinburgh chair makers. They have a scrolled arm on foliate carved supports and cushion mouldings below the seat base. They both stand on elegant but sturdy turned legs and outward swept rear supports.
