Circa 1830 with adaptations, 2 part William IV mahogany open bookcase surmounted by a moulded cornice over a simple frieze. The bookcases have neo-classical quarter columns at the sides with the upper section containing 3 adjustable shelves the lower section 2 adjustable, deeper shelves, all on an enclosed plinth base.
For stability; this bookcase should be screwed together. The bottom shelves should be filled with books before the upper shelves and preferably, the top section should be screwed to a wall.
