Circa 1830, pair of William IV satinwood fold over card tables. The rounded rectangular tops have wonderful matching satinwood veneers and a crossbanded fore edge, and open to reveal a fabric lined interior. The tops swivel and below is a single recess in solid mahogany. Below the top section the tables stand on a tapering faceted column with double moulding on the base, finishing on a platform base which is concave all round with a simple frieze below that. The tables stand on very stylish carved mahogany bun feet which are hollow with cast brass castors. Very rare to find a pair of satinwood card tables. Excellent colour and condition.
