Circa 1820, good set of 6 George IV carved mahogany dining chairs. The elaborate shaped and carved top rail with scrolling, flower heads and foliate carving, above a stylish splat again with foliate carving. These are supported by fluted and tapering uprights, which then continue down and sweep out to form the back legs. The chairs have stuffover seats with a mahogany apron beneath. The legs at the front start with a bulbous section above the tapering fluted leg which then continues down to a ring turned section and bulbous elongated foot. Great style, good quality and clean.
