Product Description
Circa 1815, set of 6 Regency bergere and painted drawing room chairs. The black, white and red painted chairs also feature gilding across the frame. There are two painted rails to the back decorated with cherubs and scrolling patterns, and the uprights continue down the back and form the arms. These feature a white bell drop motif, and they have a bergere seat with handmade squab cushions in water silk. The back legs are turned and slightly outswept, and the front legs have gilding and painted decoration, finishing on an outswept toe.
