Circa 1815, exhibition quality Regency desk tray in goncalo alves (a tropical hard wood which originates from Central America). In a rectangular shape, it has a well figured surface and moulded wrap around gallery which is held in place by small balustrades. At each end are 2 turned lifting handles and the foredge at the bottom has an egg and dart beading, continuing on all sides. It finishes on 4 squat circular carved feet with fluting to the top and a small leather insert beneath.
