Description
Circa 1815, exhibition quality brass inlaid rosewood teapoy on stand. The sarcophagus shaped, brass inlaid top opens to lidded canisters and a double mixing bowl apertures, with velvet lined top. Brass inlay continues to the front and sides, over a lyre shaped upright on a concave, inlaid platform base on hipped sabre legs with cast brass toes and brass castors. Interior of lid stamped with label of quality furnituremaker and retailer, ‘Edward and Roberts’.
