Circa 1800, set of 4 late George III mahogany hall chairs. Rare set with curved and quilled top rail, and a recessed, painted section to the back. Each chair has a solid, scooped mahogany set and apron following its form, with square, outswept back legs and turned front legs finishing on a spade-shaped foot. Two chairs feature old repairs, but patination and condition otherwise excellent.
