Circa 1800, late George III mahogany towel rail of Country house proportions. The turned top sections are held in place by turned knobs, with a turned and tapering upright connecting them to the same central upright. Below this is a turned upright section with a rectangular cross over stretcher to give the towel rail stability, and the whole piece stands on 2 trestle ends finishing on squat bun feet. The towel rail has been recently polished. Very clean and good colour.
