Circa 1760, early George III mahogany and burr elm bureau. The matching veneered burr elm top, over the flap with mahogany banding which opens to reveal a simple mahogany interior with several pigeon holes and drawers with stylish cast brass handles. Beneath the top is a long narrow drawer and three further drawers with burr elm and crossbanding, and brass swan neck handles. The gables are unusual with burr veneers also. The whole piece stands on ogee bracket feet. Great colour and very stylish. (Alterations).
