Circa 1790, George III mahogany coat stand/hat stand of classic shape. The top has a large bulbous finial on top, and two flat arms either side. Beneath this are two separate sections each with four shaped uprights supported by a turned and shaped column. At the base is a tapering bulbous cannon barrel shaped column, standing on a tripod stand with a low centred sabre leg for stability. In the centre of that is a small mahogany tray. The whole piece is sturdy and has good colour and great style.
