Description
Circa 1890. A pair of late Victorian Sheraton style inlaid bedroom chairs. With a shaped cresting rail with bone inlay, the stylish and wonderful solid and pierced splat, smothered in marquetry with the pierced sections outlined with bone. The seat upholstered with fabric held in place by gimp, a simple seat rail, back legs turned tapering and slightly out swept, front legs with bone inlay on the knees finishing on a simple cabriole leg. All the legs are braced by stretchers. Slight difference in height, one 97cm high, one 94cm high.
