Description
Circa 1880, pair of cast bronze Marly horses, after J. Coustou. The substantial sculptures depict the classic pose of the rearing horses reigned in by horse trainers. Standing on a rocky base, which is stamped ‘Coustou’ (behind the trainers feet).
