Description
Circa 1860. Neat-sized George III style serpentine front mahogany chest of drawers in the manner of Henry Hall. The serpentine fronted top made from a single piece of beautifully figured Spanish mahogany and with moulded edges above three drawers with flame mahogany fronts and original ormolu ring handles with pierced back plates and with mahogany lined drawers, one bearing imprint ‘NTS’ (Nation Trust Scotland). The canted and moulded sides extending down as outswept feet. With a solid panelled back. Beautiful colour and patina.
