Description
Circa 1860. A mid Victorian floral marquetry walnut and rosewood circular breakfast table. The circular top which is profusely inlaid with various panels of flowers and rococo shapes. There is a central panel with flowers and rondels in rosewood and different inlays. The table is crossbanded in rosewood and has a simple ogee moulding and shaped frieze. The table stands on a tripod base with its large bulbous column top, bezel beneath and three well carved cabriole legs with foliate carving on the tops and realistic animal feet with c scrolls at the back of the legs and brass castors beneath. There is a further downward carved finial in the centre. The table has a snap top action. Beautiful colour and condition.
