Description
Circa 1880, late Victorian nursery fender. The U shaped fender has brass top rail and below this are ten various turned uprights on which a metal mesh has been attached. At the bottom is a steel plate which is curved to the shape to the fender to stop ashes falling on the carpet. This is a classic nursery or kitchen fender. Excellent colour and good size.
