Description
Circa 1790. A good George III mahogany linen press stamped ‘Gillows of Lancaster’. The neat sized press surmounted by a moulded cornice over crossbanding and beaded frieze. Two panel doors with matching flame mahogany panels, original lock and key open to an interior now converted for hanging. The base with two short, over three long oak lined drawers with original brass swan neck handles and escutcheon. All on a neat moulded base and unusual, original splayed bracket feet. Good mellow colour and patination.
