Description

Circa 1820. A good George IV mahogany library of side table. The rectangular top with rounded corners in finely figured mahogany, broad rosewood crossbanding with a beaded fore-edge, simple frieze with a full-length drawer at the front with elegant escutcheon and fine bun handle with a star shaped backplate, a similar faux drawer on the back. Resting on elegant and stylish turned, ring turned and fluted stem with a bulbous section, finishing on three ribbed saber legs, with a turned toe with brass castors beneath. The table has excellent colour and patination.
