Circa 1900. An Edwardian walnut three-part pedestal desk. The top with broad cross banding, tan, tooled leather insert, with simple moulded fore edge. To the front is a configuration of one long and two short drawers, between the drawers there is a ribbed section, each of the drawers has its original swan neck handles with oval back plates. Beneath the top of the desk there is a bank of three graduating drawers with similar handles to the top, and ribbed pilasters from top to bottom. The desk is polished on all sides making it free standing. Beneath the bottom drawers is further simple moulding and the whole piece stands on an enclosed plinth. There are working keys for the locks.
