Circa 1900, George III style mahogany two door cabinet bookcase. The top has a classic dentil cornice and chequered inlay. Beneath this are two glazed doors with diamond shaped astragals, which open to reveal two adjustable beech shelves with mahogany facings. The flat surface has a shell inlay and is crossbanded in mahogany and boxwood inlay on the front and sides. Below are two cupboard doors again with chequered inlay similar to the cornice and two urns in oval panels in the centre. Inside these is a cupboard space with two shelves. Beneath the doors is a simple apron and the whole piece stands on four chunky ogee bracket feet.
