Description
Circa 1840. Freestanding quality William IV mahogany writing/library table. The rectangular top in a nicely figured Spanish mahogany with gilt tooled green leather writing surface. The front with three frieze drawers with ash linings (sign of quality) and finely turned original knobs. The rear with faux drawers. All supported on bold octagonal ring-turned and tapering legs with original brass caps and gilded brass castors stamped ‘Cope’s Patent’ – which are only used on the highest quality furniture.
