Circa 1880. Attractive pair of late Victorian inlaid solid satinwood armchairs of superb quality. The top rail with fluted decoration and panel with satinwood, bone and ebony marquetry inlay above a buttoned, upholstered panel back flanked by uprights with neoclassical style inlay. The partially padded arms on shaped inlaid supports over the overstuffed seat (upholstery good but could do with refreshing) all supported on inlaid tapering square feet with spade toes in front and outswept rear supports.
