Description
Circa 1860. A mid Victorian carved and gilded gesso rectangular wall mirror, possibly a re-purposed picture frame. The mirror is held in a gilt slip with a continuous bead of harebells, with an ogee section, with foliate carving with leaves and flower heads, which run around the entire frame. Beyond this are further ogee mouldings to the fore-edge and the sides, the mirror can be hung either portrait or landscape.
