Description
Circa 1870. A good set of 6 Victorian dining chairs, 4 matching and 2 similar (harlequin set) in mahogany. Four of the chairs with a raised back with carving and a small rondel in the top and a shaped back rail beneath. Upholstered stuff over seats, shaped rail with similar carving on the front standing on elegant turned and fluted front legs. The other two chairs classic Victorian Scottish balloon backs, with rococo carving and foliate carving. Drop in upholstered seat, with shaped seat rail, standing on turned bulbous and tapering legs.
