Circa 1950’s, 2 seater sofa by Whytock & Reid of Edinburgh. The sofa has original covers and loose covers which are available. With an upholstered arm and panelled back upholstery, it has a deep apron to the front beside the leg, and a deep gully. The classic squat square tapering legs at the front finish on a brass bezel, brass castor and taper out slightly towards the back. There is close brass studding around the castors on the front and back legs. The front legs are mahogany and the back legs are stained beech. An excellent example of Whytock & Reid seating.
Photographs show sofa with and without loose covers.
