Product Description

Circa 1900, oak and brass faced Grandmother clock. There is a rocking section in the centre which someone has put a 1938 brass thrupenny bit in it, likely an original piece to help date it. The face has an inscription to a raised arched, cast brass spandrels, steel hands, 2 winding holes and Roman numerals.  The flat top hood has a raised section, a glazed door and 2 full columns with brass clasps to the top and bottom.  The oak body has a long door with arch to the top, a knotted section in the centre and 2 brass hinges.  The sides of the door are polished. The base has a fielded panel, all standing on squat ogee bracket feet.
