Circa 1880, pair of French walnut and marble topped bedside cabinets. The solid mahogany tops have an ogee moulded edge and beneath is a single drawer with a raised section in the centre and a cast brass knob handle with floral decoration. Beneath the drawer there is a single stylish beading and a single door which has a raised panel with rounded corners and a similar handle to the top. The corners at the front are canted and ribbed and the beading continues around the cabinets. With polished backs, they stand on 4 simple turned and tapering legs with a single shelf in walnut with rounded corners. They finish on turned bulbous feet and are a right-handed and left-handed pair.
