Circa 1900, large polished brass vase; possibly Japanese. The wonderful shaped raised neck, over the front decorated with castings of large flower heads of flag irises, which have been cast separately and applied and riveted to the body. The stems and leaves of the flowers are cast as part of the body of the vase. The vase is missing its base and has a dent on the back, but is very stylish and decorative piece.
