Circa 1880, Victorian oak frame tub chair or horseshoe shaped chair. The curved back has an oak horseshoe frame to provide stability with leather upholstery all the way around. The rest of the chair is in mahogany, with a top rail held in place by 2 scrolling arms with C scrolls to the top, and a stuffover deep button seat in green leather, with half round beading. The back legs are shaped, out swept and curve back in again, and one has been braced. The front legs are ring turned and tapering, finishing on a bulbous section, brass bezel and brass and black porcelain castor.
