Circa 1860, very stylish Swedish mahogany framed rocking chair, with a solid mahogany frame and covered in a green velour. The arms have a large padded section on each side for the elbows. On the front there is a reeded section and stylish foliate fretwork on both sides. Beneath the large stuffover seat there is a moulded edge and a stylish serpentine front flamed panel. Beneath this are 2 squat sabre legs on which the rockers are attached. The chair is sturdy and sound, very clean and functional.
