Circa 1860, mid Victorian mahogany pedestal desk. The top has a black leather hide writing surface with gilt tooling decoration. The two pedestals have five drawers between them, the left pedestal with a two drawer front deep drawer over two drawers and the right pedestal with a pair of two drawer front deep drawers. The drawers are all ash wood lined and the opposite side of the pedestals have dummy drawers. The desk is made from very good quality mahogany which has its original colour and polish, though the leather hide writing surface is a replacement.
