Circa 1870, unusual French walnut two tier side table/étagère. The glazed top tier is shaped and enclosed in an ormolu bezel. On each corner is a foliate casting which continues down into a stylish Rococo arm which is attached to the next section. The second tier has quarter matching veneers and is crossbanded. Beneath this is a shaped crossbanded apron with a stylish casting at the front. There are two Rococo ormolu lifting handles on either side. The whole piece stands on four cabriole legs with foliate casting at the top which continues down to sabots at the end. Great colour and very stylish.
