Circa 1870, mahogany library chair. With large deep button panel to the centre of the shaped back, held in place by turned and fluted uprights and upholstered in green leather (held in place by brass studs and folded leather). The 2 upholstered arm rests are held in place by 4 turned columns. The large stuffover seat has been upholstered in deep button leather, and the square back legs are tapering, with the front legs having a turned section, finishing on a simple turned foot on unusual patent castors.
