Circa 1840, mahogany column chest of drawers. The rectangular top has a cross banded fore-edge above a narrow cushion-shaped frieze drawer. On the left are two short drawers; a central hat drawer and on the right a single drawer (faux double drawer), all above three long drawers. These are all in beautiful figured Spanish mahogany with original horn handles. The columns on the side are unusually of solid figured mahogany and continue down into an octagonal shaped foot.
