Circa 1860, early Victorian mahogany carver chair. With curved top splat united by a shaped cross over stretcher and leading on to the arms which finish in a C scroll and held in place by a shaped upright. The deep buttoned stuffover seat has been recently re-upholstered and is held in place by flat leather and brass studs. Beneath the seat is a side rail, and the turned, tapering legs have a bulbous section, finishing on a raised, turned foot.
