Product Description

Circa 1815, Regency mahogany library chair in the Edinburgh style, with a rectangular shaped back framed in ribbed mahogany which comes forward to form the arms. The centre of the arms are padded and the ribbing continues out to the end which is curved and held in position by a turned upright. There is an upholstered squab cushion. All standing on elegant turned and tapering front legs with cup castors and brown porcelain wheels, and square outswept back legs finishing on square brass cup castors.  This type of chair is often found in pairs in libraries and often with bergere or cane upholstery. This chair has good colour and condition and is very sturdy.
