Circa 1790, late George III mahogany and inlaid stage back sideboard. With boxwood inlay on the fore-edges of the mahogany top, and D shaped corners. There is an oval panel in the centre of the long drawer, framed in flame mahogany, satinwood and boxwood, and to either side of it are legs with pilaster-like tops. To either side are large bow front drawers, inlaid to look as if it is 2 drawers, with ivory escutcheons and cast brass knobs with floral head centre. To the left hand side is a small cupboard for a commode, and it stands on 6 large, square tapering legs with oval inlay to the top section, and finishing on a raised splay toe. The sideboard has excellent colour and patination.
