Circa 1900, small pair of floor standing or wall mounted open bookcases. The bookcases are made in bleached solid walnut and have 4 shelves. At each end of the top shelf there is a raised carved section in the form of a flat finial. At the sides there is a stylish Gothic opening which is carved through between the 2nd shelves, and this occurs on both sides. The bookcases are polished on both sides making them free standing and at the base they finish with the last shelf slightly above the ground. There is a small carve out on each end to give the impression and the profile of a small bracket foot.
